3DS Art - Pikmin
The pikmin themselves are separated into 3 layers: Red and Blue, Purple, and Yellow and White. The thorny stalk in the foreground was added at the last minute to improve the 3D effect.

Very simple layout; Zant is separated into various planes.

3DS Art - Majora’s Mask
I originally intended this to be separated only into 3 planes - Skull Kid, the moon, and the sky - but I felt that mask’s eyes would be perfect if the were advancing towards the viewer, giving it a slightly more menacing look.

3DS Art - Phantom Hourglass
Like the Wind Waker, I wanted this piece to have separation within each of the planes. I feel that the separation within the seagulls really gives it a good “receding into the distance” effect.

3DS Art - Frog Mario
For this particular picture I wanted Mario to really stand out from the receding background. I also feel that the large bubble on the foreground gives a rather pleasing effect.
